About NTP HR

Notice to Proceed HR, LLC was established with the mission to transform the construction industry by implementing strategic human resource initiatives. Our unique approach prioritizes owners and their staff to create a more effective and efficient work environment.

As the founder, Kathy Humm's strategic consulting firm is dedicated to assisting construction General Contractors, trade partners, owners' representatives, vendors, and associations in building stronger competitive teams while fostering a vision for sustainable profitability. Past clients include rand* construction, L2 Construction Management Corporation, Ashton Manor Environmental, Mobile Video Guard, Urban N. Zink Contractor, Inc., Dvorak LLC, Diversified Safety Services LLC, Real Estate Management Solutions (REMS), Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Greater Baltimore.

About the Founder

Meet Kathy Humm

Kathy Humm, founder of Notice to Proceed HR, has a strong background in building and maintaining robust human resources (HR) departments. With her experience at Harkins Builders, a construction management company, Kathy understands contractors' unique needs and challenges.

​

Recognizing the importance of HR in achieving strategic vision and maintaining a positive company culture, Kathy provides valuable insights and support to the construction industry. She has a proven track record of success. She is highly regarded in the industry, serving on various boards such as the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Greater Baltimore Board of Directors for three years and committees related to construction and HR. She serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for ABC Metro Washington and Project JumpStart (PJSJ), a 15-week pre-apprenticeship construction training program for Baltimore City residents with a high school diploma or GED.

Kathy has been featured on the Morning Huddle Construction Show and the Maryland Center for Construction Education and Innovation (MCCEI) to discuss recruitment, retention, and HR strategies to help construction business owners with today's top workforce challenges.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Kathy has wholeheartedly devoted her time and energy to raising four wonderful children, one with significant learning disabilities. Her passion for special education and advocating for children with disabilities showcases her commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of others. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband, four children, three stepchildren, extended family, and friends. Each day, Kathy prioritizes self-care through spiritual practices and exercise. As an HR consultant, Kathy understands the job's demands and can offer contractors the support they need to thrive in their industry.
